Join The Christmas Makers Team
We’re looking for reliable, professional people who take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a team. A positive attitude, flexibility, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety are important across all roles. Previous Christmas decorating experience is helpful but not essential, and we welcome applications from people with backgrounds in events, exhibitions, retail, construction, visual merchandising, facilities management, and related industries.
Freelance & Subcontractor Opportunities
Every Christmas season, we expand our team with talented freelancers and subcontractors who help bring our projects to life. Whether you’re creative, practical, or enjoy working behind the scenes, there are a variety of opportunities available throughout the season. From summer preparation and workshop work to installation, maintenance, and post-Christmas removals, you’ll play an important role in creating exceptional festive experiences.
Christmas Dressers
Our Christmas Dressers are responsible for turning our designs into beautifully finished festive displays. The role involves decorating Christmas trees, wreaths, garlands, and other seasonal products, as well as dressing commercial and retail environments to a high standard. Attention to detail is essential, and some on-site decorating work may also be required.
Christmas Installers
Our installation teams are responsible for delivering and installing festive displays at locations across the UK. This hands-on role involves setting up Christmas trees, decorations, lighting, and display structures while working from installation plans and site instructions. Installers may also assist with maintenance visits and post-season removals, ensuring every project is completed safely and professionally.
MEWP Operators
We are looking for qualified MEWP Operators to support our installation teams on projects at commercial and public venues. The role involves operating mobile elevated work platforms safely, carrying out pre-use inspections, and assisting teams working at height. Applicants must hold a valid IPAF licence and have experience working in commercial environments with a strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
Preparation & Testing Operatives
Our Preparation & Testing Operatives play a key role in making sure every decoration and lighting product is ready before it leaves the warehouse. Responsibilities include testing festive lighting and electrical components, checking products for quality and functionality, preparing stock for installation, and supporting general warehouse operations.
